The GH recap for Wednesday, November 23, 2022, features Robert Scorpio losing his touch as Holly Sutton ran an obvious con.
In this episode, Robert (Tristan Rogers) put his trust in Holly (Emma Samms) just a little too much, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) offered her totally altruistic “help,” Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) learned some news about Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), a light bulb went off in Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) head, and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) told Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) news she never wanted to hear. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) was quite surprised to see a briefcase attached to Robert’s wrist when she offered to buy him a drink at the Metro Court. He explained he has some pieces of the famed Ice Princess diamond in there but refused to let her take a peek. Soon, Holly showed up and put on a happy face knowing she had to do Victor’s dirty work to save her son.

After one of Victor’s goons handed her a vial of powder, she returned to Robert and Diane’s table and suggested they do tequila shots while licking salt off their hands first. Of course, by then, she had switched the salt shaker with another shaker full of whatever drug she obtained. Before long, Robert was falling down “drunk” and Holly insisted on taking him to his room. When Diane went to leave, Robert reappeared on the elevator all alone — with the handcuffs but without the briefcase, as Holly now had the necklace.
On the pier, a despondent Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) sat there with a Hummingbird cake that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) baked when Valentin approached and tried to convince him Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had nothing to do with what happened to Lucy. He then realized there were two shots and only one bullet casing, which matched up with the story Holly told Robert. A newly-invigorated Valentin quickly recruited his old pal Marty to help Anna and find Lucy.
Carly had a bone to pick with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), as she often does. She found her at the Metro Court and told her to mind her own business and never go running to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) again with any sort of suspicions about her or Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) having an affair. After all, the only homewrecker standing in front of the apparently-amnesiac Carly (cough…Tony Jones…cough) was Nina.
When the hostess walked by with some fancy soup, Carly threatened to throw it in Nina’s face, but Sonny showed up just in time to stop that from happening. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) also arrived after a talk with Sonny at the boxing gym in which he angrily told him that he was going to do the right thing by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and help Willow find her birth parents.
Once Carly and Drew were alone, Carly questioned him about the rumor that he planned to help Willow, so Carly generously offered her assistance. We’re sure she is going to be a great help.
As Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) mentioned to a confused Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) had agreed to write a letter supporting Chase to the Port Charles Police Department civilian review board, Brook Lynn had a conversation with Linc Brown (Dan Buran) and learned what he really wanted from her.
Linc offered to give Brook Lynn back her songs if BLQ would not go public with what a rotten and sleazy manager he is. But wait — there’s more. He also wanted Brook Lynn to say lots of nice things about him. Brook Lynn flatly refused.
At the hospital, Liesl wondered what happened to Britt’s trashed office, so Britt told her everything. She apparently has had Huntington’s Disease symptoms for years and is now at stage 3. Liesl’s immediate instinct was to go into doctor mode, but Britt told her she needed a mother.
Liesl broke down and blamed herself for what was happening to Britt, but Britt told her to go home to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and enjoy her life. Liesl still couldn’t do it because she just wanted to be there for her daughter.
