The GH recap for Monday, November 14, 2022, features Hamilton Finn getting the shock of his life when Jeff Webber shows his face in town.
In this episode, Jeff Webber (William Moses) arrived in search of his daughter as Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) vowed to change things in her life. Plus, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) tried to get Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) more help, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) had it out, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) developed a new plan, Curtis Ashford got some good news, and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) stuck her nose everywhere that it didn’t belong. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Elizabeth was not happy when Carly showed up at her front door demanding they talk about Esme. Liz told Carly what happened on the pier but didn’t want to talk to her much more than that. However, Carly had to be Carly and insert herself in Liz’s business by asking what she was doing with old photos. She was shocked to learn Liz was ready to burn pics of her parents and that she just spoke to them for the first time in 25 years.
Carly tried to talk Elizabeth out of her decision, but Liz didn’t care. Well, apparently, Carly did because she swiped a snap of Jeff and Carolyn Webber for safekeeping in case Elizabeth ever changed her mind.
At the hospital, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) attended an AA meeting, and Finn almost told Alexis that Liz’s dad slept with his late wife but stopped short of naming names. Later, Finn was stunned when Jeff showed up at the hospital.
Esme did her best to convince Nikolas Cassadine (temporarily played by Adam Huss) to set her free but to no avail. She threw a fit and also her food when Nikolas left the tower to talk to Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West). Ava couldn’t wait to relay the news about Esme being alive, and Nikolas assured her they have nothing to worry about. Ava finally left Wyndemere but wasn’t convinced.

Upstairs, Esme tried to charm Nikolas’s version of Yuri (Cyrus Hobie) and Johann (Max Decker) by telling Demetrius that Nikolas wasn’t in his right mind to keep a pregnant girl hostage and that Demetrius could help his boss by setting her free. Downstairs, Nikolas was surprised by another visitor when Elizabeth showed up, demanding to know what was happening with Esme.
At Pentonville, Trina and Spencer had a long and emotional talk about Esme. Spencer admitted he believed in her throughout the sex tape scandal, and he couldn’t let Trina know what was going on in order to protect her. Trina was angry but tried to get Spencer to admit he truly wants to be with her. Sadly, she didn’t have much luck because Spencer seems to have decided that he is still no good for Trina because he acted like he might be in jail for years, although his sentence likely ends before Christmas.
At least Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was relieved that Trina won’t develop schizophrenia now that Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) genetic screening tests offered good news.
Josslyn Jacks did her best to hide the fact that Dex Heller is in her dorm room half dead from a gunshot wound. First, she told the bed bug lie, and then she fibbed to her friend Adam (Joshua Benard) and explained she is hiding a stray cat in her room she doesn’t want anyone to find.
Once she was in the clear, she found Dex passed out on the floor with a fever and in need of antibiotics. When Josslyn left to secure some, Carly Spencer showed up, wanting to know what was going on.
