GH Recap For December 29: The Britch Fest Gets Off To A Roaring Start

The GH recap for Thursday, December 29, 2022, features the start to the party of the year in Port Charles as Britt Westbourne celebrates in a way only she can do.

In this episode, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) put her cares aside to laugh, smile, and celebrate. While Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) spent the whole time alone on the deck enjoying each other’s company. Also, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) once again tried to get Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to set her free as Laura Collins (Genie Francis) deduced who Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) had an affair with — or at least is pretending to have an affair with. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) spent his time at Britt’s party smarting over Liz’s fake betrayal, and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) informed Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) what Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is up to. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Britt’s party was the place to be on New Year’s Eve in PC, with party planners Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) aptly calling it the Britch Fest. The celebration included topless waiters, a drag queen, and karaoke, and it turned out just how Britt wanted. Not surprisingly, Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) did his best to talk Britt into staying in town, but she told him she was slipping away after midnight. She then joined Brad at the mic and channeled her inner Aretha Franklin for a rousing rendition of Knew You Were Waiting.

While everyone partied, Finn moped around at the bar and shocked Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) when he told her that he and Elizabeth broke up. And, there was even more fun out on deck where Spencer and Trina spent their time taking selfies and pretending to be in a new romance so they can post it all to social media and lure Esme out of hiding.

General Hospital Recap: Trouble At Wyndemere

Little did Spencer and Trina know that Esme is not really hiding. Instead, she is being held prisoner by Nikolas. Before heading to the Haunted Star, Elizabeth stopped by Wyndemere to check on Esme and her baby and Esme was happy to hear a healthy heartbeat. She did her best to once again talk Liz into letting her go free, but Liz still wasn’t buying what she was selling.

Downstairs, Laura Collins visited with her son and advised him not to let Spencer walk out of his life. She then questioned who Nikolas had an affair with just as Liz popped into the room and awkwardly let herself out of the castle. Laura was shocked and appalled when Nikolas told her that yes, it was Liz who he cheated with.

She was further stunned to learn that Spencer is now in Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) custody until his sentence officially ends. She vowed to make sure Victor’s crimes were brought to light to keep him out of Spencer’s life and Nikolas begged her not to.

GH Recap: Dex Has Big News For Michael

While Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) enjoyed his night with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) on The Haunted Star, promising her that he, Avery Corinthos, and Donna Corinthos are now her family, Michael continued to plot his father’s downfall.

He met with Dex on the pier and learned all about Sonny’s new deal with Pikeman Security. Michael wanted all the details and all the evidence that Dex could bring him so he can finally finish his petty little revenge plot.
