GH Recap For December 28: Britt And Liesl’s Happy And Sad ‘Farewell’

The GH recap for Wednesday, December 28, 2022, features very tender mother-and-daughter moments between Britt Westbourne and Liesl Obrecht that could bring tears to anyone’s eyes.

In this episode, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) got ready for Britt’s big party while Trina Robinson (Tabayana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) planned their first ‘date’ for the same event. Also, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) brought Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to meet with an old friend in Amsterdam, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) got a new and dangerous idea, and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) paid a visit to their brother, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Liesl arrived at Britt’s Metro Court room to help her get ready for her big party but also confessed that she betrayed Britt’s trust when she told Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about Britt’s Huntington’s Disease. Britt wasn’t as upset about that as she was about learning Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) also knew the truth, but still forgave her mother.

When Liesl saw Britt’s suitcase, Britt told her she was going on a vacation and left it at that. The two doctors then shared some tender moments in which they praised one another and acknowledged how lucky they are to have one another. When Britt finally put her dress on, Liesl was brought to tears seeing her beautiful daughter, so they took a selfie to remember the moment. Little did Liesl know what Britt’s real plans were with that suitcase.

General Hospital Recap: Drama At Wyndemere And Pentonville

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) did his best to get Spencer to agree to live at Wyndemere once his sentence was up but even Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) said that would be a bad idea. After Spencer left, Victor tried to warn Nikolas not to become enemies with his son. He also let Nikolas know that Ava Jerome (Maura West) told him about Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) ‘pregnancy,’ but Nikolas perpetuated the lie that she had a miscarriage.

Upstairs, the actual person Nikolas impregnated decided that she could cause a distraction by setting her Charlie Brown Christmas tree on fire, so Esme sweet-talked Demetrius into bringing her a candlelight steak dinner.

Spencer made his way over to Kelly’s where he ran into Trina and Ava. When Trina left the table, Spencer took the opportunity to apologize to Ava for all he put her through and Ava warned him never to hurt Trina.

Over at Pentonville, Martin and Laura met with Cyrus. After we learned Laura got her brother out of a Dutch prison, Cyrus informed her that her deputy mayor was working for Victor. When Laura didn’t have much of a reaction to that, Cyrus deduced that she already knew and told her he had connections to bring Victor down and avenge Luke Spencer’s death. Laura reminded her bible-verse-spouting brother that he is not God.

GH Recap: The Return Of Andre Maddox

We also caught up with Anna and Valentin in Amsterdam and Valentin was surprised when Anna took him to meet with her old pal Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery). Valentin was jealous of Anna’s friendship with Andre and Andre wanted to know how she could trust a Cassadine, but Anna said she trusts Valentin with her life.

What Anna really wanted was to bring down a Cassadine (and rescue Lucy Coe), so she asked Andre to tell her all about the place he used to meet with Victor when Andre was working for the WSB.
