The GH recap for Friday, December 23, 2022, features an entire nativity scene in Monica Quartermaine’s living room complete with the child being born on Christmas day.
GH Recap Highlights
In this episode, Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) house became Grand Central Station as Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) rode to the rescue on a motorcycle, a la Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Also, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) did everything she could to get to Portland to visit Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) with no luck. Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) spent this Christmas without Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) but with the people who count after Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) rescued Port Charles from a winter storm.
The snow that started falling on Christmas Eve made for treacherous roads on Christmas Day, meaning people out caroling or performing nativity scenes ended up at the Q house because that’s where their stuck cars left them. First, Molly Lansing Davis (Haley Pullos) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) showed up and were invited to stay, and then a lone pregnant woman appeared looking for a room at the inn. Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) was happy to welcome her inside and feed her spicy food.

Of course, that spicy food sent her straight into labor, and TJ somehow never delivered a baby despite graduating medical school, so he was no help. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) tried to help, but the baby was breech, so he called on Britt while she happened to be at Brando’s garage. Her car got stuck there, so she sought out shelter where Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Sasha were fixing up Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) old motorcycle, which was so much like Jason’s old motorcycle.
Britt and Sasha donned some black leather and arrived through the French living room doors just as Jason had done in the past. Britt delivered the Christmas baby, and the young mother was so grateful that she named the little girl Britta Noelle. Poor Britt did her best not to give away how much it meant to her that a namesake child was born just before her New Year’s Eve birthday that can change the whole course of her life.
General Hospital Recap: Maxie’s Journey To Spinelli And Georgie
Spinelli chose to take Georgie to Portland to visit her other mother, Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson), for the holidays, and Maxie was supposed to meet them there, but the weather grounded all flights from PC. Austin managed to get his cousin Mason (Nathanyael Grey) to lend him a boat for the day so Maxie could make her way into Canada and get on a private Q plane. That plane ended up getting grounded as well, but Maxie was thrilled when Georgie and Spinelli showed up at the airport, and the little family celebrated over pizza.
Ellie could already tell Spinelli was once again in love with Maxie, but she had her own new man, who turned out to be former Father Dr. Griffin Munro. However, we only saw his face on Ellie’s phone, and there was no actual appearance by Matt Cohen.
GH Recap: Elizabeth’s Real Family
Who needs crappy narcissistic parents when you have Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Laura by your side? That is essentially what Elizabeth thought when Scott and Laura were there for her on Christmas. She was away from the nuttiness at Wyndemere, and the toxicity of her ill-fated relationship with Finn as Scott did some dancing with Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Laura paid a visit after she rescued Port Charles from the snow with Jordan.
Scott gave Elizabeth the pep talk she needed to feel good about herself, while Laura offered to be there for her whenever she was needed. Elizabeth concluded that she had been spending too much time lamenting over the parents she never really had and would now appreciate the people who have been there for her most of her life.
