The General Hospital recap for October 2, 2023, features Sasha biding her time in Ferncliff before an insane Dr. Montague came after her.
In this episode, Gladys attempted to skip town while Sasha attempted to fight off Dr. Montague. Valentin asked Marty for help with Charlotte before calling Laura home from Europe to deal with her granddaughter. Finally, Anna enjoyed having Sonny’s protection as she told Jordan her theories. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) tried to keep her cool in Ferncliff as Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder) played Dr. Innocent with the Ferncliff staff. She did her best not to take any meds from a nurse but Montague snuck back into Ferncliff to take care of things himself. Sasha was terrified when he quietly entered her room with a syringe. Sasha did her best to fend him off and even threw a chair at him, but Dr. Montague pinned her to the bed before a mysterious someone burst into the room.

Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) seemed to be using what was left of Sasha’s money to skip town to Central America, but Sam (Kelly Monaco) showed up before she could get too far. Sam did her best to taunt Gladys and reminded her that Sasha actually owned the apartment that Gladys claimed was hers. She then sat herself down on the couch and told Gladys she wasn’t leaving until Gladys admitted everything she had done.
Sam tried to sympathize with Gladys’s various tragic losses, but not when Gladys once again claimed that Cody (Josh Kelly) was the cause of all of Sasha’s problems. Just as Gladys tried to throw Sam out, Sonny (Maurice Benard) appeared at the door. Gladys claimed that Sam was the problem so Sam showed Sonny that Gladys was trying to skip town. A desperate Gladys then suggested that maybe Sam was defending Cody because she was having an affair with him.
As Gladys went on and on about the horrors of Cody, she just made her situation worse because she had no idea Nina (Cynthia Watros) had told him the truth. That didn’t last long. Eventually, Sonny revealed he knew all and that Gladys was about to pay.
Earlier, Anna (Finola Hughes) told Sonny she was grateful for his protective services, with a guard inconspicuously following her around. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) soon arrived to join Anna for coffee and was surprised to hear that super spy Anna needed extra protection. She was desperate because someone was trying to destroy her life. Anna also insisted to Jordan that the Metro Court pool shooter was after Sonny and not her because the other attacks on her had been too personal.
Laura (Genie Francis) continued searching for Nikolas (Adam Huss) by using the Internet, but Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) was done. He felt Nikolas didn’t want to be found and they needed to give up for now and return home. Kevin pointed out that Nikolas had not made contact with her or his children, so that was proof he wanted to stay MIA. He felt Nikolas was trying to avoid going to jail for keeping Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) locked in a tower. Laura still insisted that Nikolas needed her and she wasn’t giving up on him. She blamed herself for his problems because she abandoned him to the Cassadines during his formative years so she had to do right by him now.
After Laura insisted the search still needed to go on, a curveball arrived in the form of Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). He called Laura to tell her she needed to come home because there was trouble with Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez).
Valentin and Marty (Michael E. Knight) met in Val’s new home where Marty got to hear all about Charlotte’s latest antics. Valentin was almost sure that Charlotte was the one who set fire to Anna’s house. Marty didn’t believe that Charlotte was capable of arson but Valentin felt she wanted to take away Anna’s home to keep her scared and insecure. Valentin wanted to make sure that Marty would be able to defend Charlotte if the law came after her.
Once Marty was gone and relieved that Laura was headed home to help Charlotte, Anna walked right into Valentin’s new house and asked if this was where he’d been hiding out.
