The General Hospital recap for October 6, 2023, features Sonny making the rounds through Port Charles, letting people know he is going to be out of town.
In this episode, the Corinthos offspring got their wedding invites while Valentin learned he would have to deal with his Charlotte problem on his own. Anna insisted to Robert she liked having Sonny’s goon protect her but still needed his help. Michael and Willow had snide comments to make as they debated whether to go to the wedding. Finally, at Sonny’s behest, Alexis decided to use the Invader to save Drew. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) made the rounds in Port Charles to tell people all about his wedding. Michael (Chad Duell), Kristina (Kate Mansi), and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) got an invite, and Anna (Finola Hughes) got the news that he wouldn’t be around to watch over her for a few days. However, his visit with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was all about finding dirt on the judge who sentenced Drew (Cameron Mathison). Too bad Gregory (Gregory Harrison) wasn’t happy with the idea, but he still agreed to help.

After Alexis, Carly (Laura Wright) was the next person on Sonny’s list. She was worried about Drew going back to Pentonville, so it wasn’t fun to hear that Sonny was heading off to his island to marry Nina (Cynthia Watros). He wanted Donna to join them so he’d have all his kids around him, so Carly relented and allowed it. At least Carly was happy that Sonny was trying to help Drew. Before Sonny left, the former marrieds told each other they wanted the other to be happy.
Kristina was surprised and unhappy to hear that Dante turned down Sonny’s invite, but Dante explained that this wasn’t the right time for him to leave town. When Blaze (Jacquline Grace Lopez) arrived at Charlie’s, she caught up with Dante and Kristina and learned all about the wedding.
Before Michael could give Sonny an answer, he had to discuss things with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), so he tracked her down at work and told her all about the wedding. Willow even thought an elopement meant that they could skip the wedding cause Willow will be Willow. However, Michael informed her they were invited, so now they had to decide whether to go.
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was doing a Google search for a therapist for Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) when Nina arrived and saw how sad her ex was. Nina learned that Valentin was basically a hot mess who had no idea how to parent his teenager. Nina was also surprised to hear that Valentin had not even talked to Charlotte about what he knew because he was afraid about how he’d react if she lied. Valentin had another surprise in store when he admitted he hadn’t even told Anna about what was happening.
Poor Valentin freaked when Nina gave him more bad news. She was flying off to marry Sonny, so she wouldn’t be around to help with Charlotte for a bit. When Charlotte got home, she was thrilled to see Nina there. She was especially happy to see them hugging.
After talking with Sonny, Anna met with Robert (Tristan Rogers) at the Metro Court and told him all about Valentin’s house purchase — a house she still planned to walk into once Valentin solved his mysterious Charlotte problems. When Robert offered his opinion, Anna told him to mind his business and then asked for a favor. She was sure whoever was stalking her had something to do with the WSB and wanted Robert’s assistance in solving this mystery. Little did she know, Valentin already had the answers.
