The General Hospital recaps for February 13 – 17, 2023, featured disrupted wedded bliss, displaced criminals, damsels — well, one dame and one damsel — in distress, and so much more.
Michael (Chad Duell) acquiesces to Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) pleas that she be returned home…Liesl (Kathleen Gati) excoriates Carly (Laura Wright) for keeping Willow and Nina (Cynthia Watros) in the dark about their biological connection, then begs her to intercede on Nina’s behalf with Willow. Carly instead offers to build a bridge between Liesl and Willow.
Dex (Evan Hofer) puts Michael on alert: a shipment of illegal cargo will soon be in the Port Charles harbor courtesy of Sonny (Maurice Benard)…Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) arrive in England and resolve to track down Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) former nanny, Maggie Fitzgerald.
Jordan (Tanisha Harper) tries and fails to convince Portia (Brook Kerr) that cluing Curtis (Donnell Turner) in on the fact that he may be Trina’s biological father is her best play…Portia and Curtis’s nearest and dearest file into the church, anticipating a white wedding. The ceremony opens with officiant Laura Collins (Genie Francis) asking for any and all objections.
Portia and Curtis’s wedding proceeds without a hitch…Jordan and Stella (Vernee Watson) commiserate over Portia and Curtis beginning their marriage without the truth coming to light…Sensing Curtis’s disappointment over Stella’s absence, Trina (Tabyana Ali) quietly excuses herself and Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) from the reception and heads for the woman’s hotel room.
Sam and Dante make contact with a local barmaid (Heather Olt), inquire about Maggie, and get the runaround. The sleuths take their leave — reluctantly — and Maggie (!) readies to flee the coop…Heather (Alley Mills) presents Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) with a shiv, informs him that the time for their breakout is nigh, and vows that she’ll get Esme on board. Ryan complicates the plan by insisting on making a special stop.
Sam learns that the barmaid and Maggie are one and the same. Opposite this, Dante returns to the pub, stymieing Maggie’s planned getaway…Heather and Ryan’s best-laid plan attempt hits a major snag when the latter is forced to stab a guard to death in Esme’s presence.
Though she was loath to say anything, Stella confessed to Trina that her mother was keeping something from her…Curtis and Portia’s reception continued in earnest. The bride and groom make note of Trina’s absence. Trina returns in time to witness Portia tossing her bouquet.
Trina and Portia retire to a hotel suite, and Portia admits an inconvenient truth: she has no idea who the young woman’s natural father is…Mac (John J. York) unexpectedly runs into Heather and Esme; Ryan clobbers him into unconsciousness from behind…Sam and Dante convince Maggie to cough up what she knows about Esme’s parents. She stuns them with the claim that Esme is Ryan’s daughter.
Austin (Roger Howarth) arrives at Wyndemere intent on helping her relocate Nikolas’s corpse, but the desecration is put on hold by Felicia’s (Kristina Wagner) sudden appearance. Felicia requests Ava’s help with entrapping Ryan. The irony of ironies, the two women are soon trapped by the villain himself.
Ryan brandishes a gun, corrals Ava and Felicia into the drawing room, and delights in insinuating that he’s killed Mac. Later, Ryan forces Felicia to accept a call from her husband and tortures the pair. Ryan informs his hostages that only one of them will survive the night…A hook-wielding assailant menaces Austin…News of Heather, Esme, and Ryan’s escape disseminates far and wide.
Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) tasks a lackey with locating Nikolas…Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) step up their haunting of Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur)…Trina reveals Portia’s secret to Curtis and Taggert…Taggert assures Trina that he’ll always be her father…Curtis blasts Portia for her lie of omission.
