The General Hospital recaps for August 29 – September 2, 2022, feature several bets hedged, suspicions raised, suspects sized up, and so much more.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) reads Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) the riot act for daring to darken the Quartermaine’s door. Later, Joss and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) attend to a grievously injured Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West).
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) admitted that she was attracted to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly); she shares the tale of woe that was her romance with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)… Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) ponder whether Dominique could have birthed Cody while she was confined to Shadybrook and been none the wiser.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) briefly attend to a soused Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) before Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) intercedes. Spencer is put out to learn that Victor was well aware of Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) afternoon of passion with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
Nikolas stumbles upon Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst); she’s disorientated and unsure of where she is, how she got there, or why her forehead is injured. Finn finds the two deep in conversation and attempts to make things right with Liz… Nina and Valentin cross paths and reconnect… News of Ava’s attack begins to disseminate.
Spencer and Victor try to suss out whether or not the other skewered Ava… Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) sets about investigating Ava’s assault; Nikolas proves uncooperative… Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) delights in her Title Nine ruling being overturned is hampered by Ava’s predicament. Spencer proves a welcome support system when Trina pays Ava a visit.
Finn continues to try and right the wrong he committed by contacting Sarah Webber; Liz seems poised to forgive him — but only if he leaves her to her own devices going forward.
Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) is chagrined by the suggestion that she grant Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) conservatorship over her… Nikolas provides Liz with an alibi that they both know to be false… Ava’s vitals spike when Trina mentions Spencer’s name… Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) works overtime to convince Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and herself that a relationship between them would be doomed from the start.
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) approached Valentin about replacing Sasha as the Face of Deception and his correspondence with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight); Valentin promised Lucy that he hadn’t tipped Martin off to her flirtation with Victor. When Lucy takes her leave, Valentin trails her; he’s less than pleased to find her conversing conspiratorially with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)… Anna rumbles that Victor is holding access to Charlotte over Valentin’s head.
Valentin levels with Anna. The couple agrees to work together to bring Victor down… Victor warns Spencer against revealing Nikolas and Esme’s affair… Ava regains consciousness and drops Nikolas in it when she mentions they had argued just prior to her stabbing.
Liz confides in Finn her lapses in memory — including the time during which Ava was attacked — and her recollection of arguing with a fellow femme during her girlhood… Carly reflects on one of the major reasons she’s loath to date Drew: she’s keeping him in the dark about Nina and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) biological connection.
Nightmares plague Spencer; he decides to commit his feelings for Trina to paper and then hand over the missive… When Avery loses a highly prized charm bracelet, Josslyn resolves to track it down; Dex is impressed and taken aback when Josslyn readies herself to go dumpster diving for the trinket… Ava fills Nina in on Nikolas’s affair; Sonny catches the two in deep conversation and later asks Nina for the specifics.
Willow decides to cut back on her hours at GH. She informs Michael Corinthos (temporary recast Robert Adamson) of her decision, though she continues to keep mum about her leukemia.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) accomplish part one of their multipart plan to best Linc Brown (Dan Buran)… Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) insists that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) move himself and Rocco into her penthouse posthaste.
