The General Hospital recaps for May 9 – May 13, 2022, feature spooky happenings, business politics, a declaration of all-out war, and so much more.
With Cameron Webber (William Lipton) serving as a lookout on the mainland, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) sets about snooping through Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) bits and bobs. He finds a shoebox stuffed with items including an unlabeled bottle of pills – he pockets one – and several letters.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) makes note of the chemistry between Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse)… TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) blasts Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) for prying into Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) past and declares that he’s not ready to give up on his grandfather just yet.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) poo-poos Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) suggestion that she initiate a cease-fire with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros); she’s intrigued when Valentin unwittingly reminds her that Phyliss Caulfield (Joyce Guy) was Nina’s nurse during the time that Nina was pregnant.
Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Chet Driscoll (Chris Van Etten) reconnected in person. She learns that he’s Amy Driscoll’s (Risa Dorken) brother… Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) warned Nina that Grant Smoltz (David Lautman) was sniffing around for dirt; Nina declares that she was ready to fight fire with fire.
A visit from Alexis Davis (temporarily played by Stephanie Erb) spurs Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) into deciding to seek out her biological parents… Esme catches Spencer pouring over her private correspondence. He confronts her with one of the letters that seem to indicate Esme is attempting to make contact with her birth father.
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) feels put out to pasture when Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) admit he won’t be elected CEO of a newly merged Aurora/ELQ… Carly and Nina sparred. After getting nowhere with Phyllis, Carly conspired to obtain Nina’s wine glass; Drew catches her in the act.
Nina and Willow exchange barbs at the cemetery… Nina and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) decide that it’s best for the two of them to keep their distance from one another for the foreseeable future… Carly admits her suspicions that Willow is Nina’s daughter to Drew as well as her plan to run a surreptitious DNA test. Drew helps her gain access to the gatehouse where Michael and Willow are staying; the couple catch Drew and Carly skulking about.
Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) invites psychic medium Chelsea Lambas (Jen Ray) into her home. Chelsea reaches out to the spirit world and makes contact with an entity that Liz believes to be Franco Baldwin… Esme attempts to snow Spencer and makes him believe that she’s achieved her goal.
Chelsea appears to be possessed by Franco’s spirit; Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) interrupt the proceedings… Carly and Drew make excuses for their presence in Michael and Willow’s home; Willow offers Carly a key to the abode… Carly asks Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to run a DNA test for her.
Spencer asks Britt to identify the pill that he swiped; it’s a strong opioid that should never be mixed with alcohol. When Britt pries as to how Spencer came into possession of such a substance, he goes on the offensive and derides her romantic past and lonely present.
Esme gives Ryan Chamberlin (Jon Lindstrom) a status update. He’s fearful that Spencer and Cameron have rumbled her schemes; Esme denies the charge. Ryan encourages Esme to stick to the plan – seduce Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
TJ finds a clue as to Marshall’s whereabouts; it’s a receipt from a music store in Brooklyn… The Quartermaines band together in order to support Leo who’s soon to recite a poem during a school assembly… Michael warned Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that he planned to destroy their father… Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) set about scheming to hold onto his control of ELQ… Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) swore she’d help Willow find her kin.
