The General Hospital recaps for December 26 – December 30, 2022, featured several characters playing with fire — one of them literally.
General Hospital Recaps: Monday, December 26
Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) uncharacteristic behavior gives Terry Randolph (Cassandra James), Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), and Brad Cooper (Perry Shen) cause for concern. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) again tries to convince Britt not to take her leave of her nearest and dearest.
The brothers Scorpio strike a tentative deal with Heather Webber (Alley Mills) — she’ll remain at Spring Ridge, for the foreseeable future, so long as she extracts information about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) from Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom)…Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) take an opportunity to publicly flaunt their supposed relationship. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is wise to the young ones’ subterfuge but fails to persuade them to pack it in…Heather takes notice of Spencer and Trina’s closeness.
GH Recaps: Tuesday, December 27
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) begs for another chance with Britt, but she turns him down gently…Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) chemo treatments begin to take their toll…Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) actively stymies Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) efforts to locate Willow’s birth parents — and not for the first time.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) admits to Maxie that she’s in love with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard); Maxie encourages her friend to win Chase back…Selena Wu (Lydia Look) reminds Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) that she’s still indebted to her…Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) meets with a representative from the Pikeman Security Group and finalizes a deal. Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) warns Sonny against doing business with the outfit.
General Hospital Recaps: Wednesday, December 28
Britt readies a go bag but is forced to hide it when her mother comes calling. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) cops to filling Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and, by extension, Sonny in on Britt’s medical condition and promises to be with her daughter until the end.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) meet up with Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery). The men are wary of each other, but Anna insists on pooling their knowledge.

Esme steps up her efforts to manipulate Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) manservant Demetrius (Ari Kappatos)… Spencer apologizes — seemingly sincerely — to Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) for his past harassment of her. Spencer and Trina resolve to make their public debut as a “couple” at Britt’s birthday bash… Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) advises Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to be wary of her deputy mayor and of Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) influence on Nikolas and Spencer.

It’s New Year’s Eve in Port Charles…Invited guests board The Haunted Star…Trina worries that Esme might not be The Hook as she and Spencer first assumed. Trina and Spencer flirt with one another…Esme swipes a match…Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Dex plan to use Sonny’s alliance with the Pikeman Group to bring about his destruction.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) alerts Terry to the fact that he and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) are no longer an item…Laura takes Nikolas to task for his life choices. Nikolas decries Laura’s efforts to bring Victor to heel as he will suffer as well.
General Hospital Recaps: Friday, December 30
Esme sets her makeshift prison ablaze, then makes for the parapet. Much to Nikolas’s horror, Esme jumps into the murky waters below…The Hook stalks Trina and Spencer but is thwarted in his efforts to kill them… Elizabeth tells Finn that she miscarried her and Nikolas’s baby… Michael proposed to Willow…The Hook readies to attack Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
