Nikolas Cassadine’s rationalization for locking up Esme Prince on General Hospital is not that he wants to keep her pregnancy – and his role in it; as in, 50% – a secret, but that he’s protecting the good people of Port Charles from the serial killing Hook, who was obviously Esme.

Except, Uhm, the killings have continued even when Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was indisposed, which means she’s not the culprit. Should Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) let Esme go now?

Nikolas’s plan is insane, 11% of General Hospital fans insist. Not just because a missing Esme is one thing, a baby showing up out of nowhere is another. But because he is keeping a pregnant woman prisoner, away from medical care, and is committed to doing so for the rest of her life! This is crazy. End it, Nik! Now!
General Hospital: Esme Prince is a Dangerous Dame
Just because she’s not a serial killer, doesn’t mean Esme isn’t still dangerous, 16% are still convinced. She’s the one who released Josslyn Jacks’s (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) sex video. And she framed Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) for the crime. Being locked up is what Esme deserves. Who cares if it’s by the legal system or a vigilante like Nik?

A winning 73% would like to split the difference. Nik should let Esme go, but he should turn her over to the Port Charles Police Department. They just want to charge her with something. And we’re sure they’ll take Nik’s word for it.
After all, who is more trustworthy than a man who kept a woman locked up for months, and now would like her arrested? While he just goes on home. No harm, no foul, right? Nik is a Cassadine. He’s used to the world always going his way. And if it doesn’t, he has ways of… making it.
