The General Hospital recaps for June 27 – July 1, 2022, feature a metaphorical kick in the gut, the prospect of a family growing by one, and so much more.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) appoints Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) as Chairman of the Board of ELQ. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) take Ned to task for siding with the enemy. When word reached Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) they too piled on the criticism.
On Michael’s advice, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) retired to the Metro Court Pool where she crossed paths with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), whom she blasted, Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Suddenly feeling faint, Willow ultimately collapses into Sonny’s arms.
GH was preempted.
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) helps bring Willow ’round, and she joins the choir insisting that the young woman be taken to the hospital; Sonny and Sasha escort her there themselves… Drew burst Carly Corinthos’s (Laura Wright) with the news that the Aurora/ELQ has been vetoed. A convo with her broker spells doom and gloom; she hasn’t the capital to buy back her interest in the Metro Court.
Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) catches sight of Ned and Olivia sparring and asks Michael to escort him to the stables. When left to his own devices, Leo winds up injuring himself; Ned and Olivia come together to treat his cuts and scrapes… Anna Devane’s interest is piqued after noticing some tension between Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and Valentin… TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) has a diagnosis for Willow – she’s pregnant!
Willow relays her condition to Michael. He’s jubilant, she’s hedging; Sasha, who overhears a nurse directing an obstetrician to Willow’s room is devastated. She perks up when Felty (Brian Norris) calls and offers her some quid-pro-quo.
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) decides to stick around Port Charles for the foreseeable future and once again puts the screws to Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)… Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) makes amends with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and asks for her assistance with running a DNA test.
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) flirts with Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) and asks if he has any pull to get her internship at Spring Ridge reinstated. Rory spots an opportunity to get ahold of Esme’s cell and offers to input the number of an acquaintance that he’s sure can help her; Esme smells a rat. Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) arrives and warns Rory to keep his distance from Esme.
Sasha pops several pills in the lead-up to her television debut… Brook Lynn asks Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to intercede on Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) behalf where Linc Brown (Dan Buran) is concerned, but Sonny ixnays the idea. Instead, he offers to grease the wheels with the civilian review board who’ll be deciding Chase’s future with the PCPD.
Esme intimates to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) that she’ll reveal their affair if he doesn’t ensure her renewed access to Spring Ridge… Esme catches Spencer and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) colluding.
