The General Hospital recaps for September 12 – September 16, 2022, feature a full-fledged investigation underway, a life in the balance, lies, a blast from the past, and so much more.
Thinking Mac Scorpion (John J. York) is on the verge of arresting him for the hooking of Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) hashes a plan to win big in one of Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) poker games at The Savoy and skip town…When he asks her to spot him some cash, Selina offers him an opportunity for more cash. Will he take it?… Upon a deeper look, Cody questions his old friend Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about Mac’s special interest…The two friends discuss a mysterious illegal stunt they pulled during their childhood, after which Dante promised that Cody wouldn’t go down for Ava’s stabbing… Cody decided to work with Selina.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) questioned Ava about her aversion to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). She chose not to reveal his affair with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl)…Sonny caught on that she was leaving a few things out and promised that he would keep her safe for Avery’s sake… Meanwhile, Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) had her own reservations about Nikolas, wondering if he was giving her an alibi because he was guilty, but broke down in tears in his arms, bemoaning her current circumstances just as Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) walked in.
General Hospital recaps find Finn’s brother Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) wasn’t fairing any better with his lady love, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), when the two newly anointed love birds clashed when he back out of their scheme to bring down Linc Brown (Dan Buran)… Elsewhere, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) confessed to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) that she swiped the divorce papers before her stroke, and they never got mailed!…Jordan is furious. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is furious… How will Curtis and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) feel will they learn the entire truth?… Stay tuned.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) finally decides to go through with the conference in Aruba after assurances from Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that everything would be fine while she is gone… In a rare moment of peace between the exes, Sonny even bid Carly a fond adieu… Just as Carly left a message for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), and he messaged her back, the plane began experiencing violent turbulence. An announcement was made to secure loose items for an emergency landing.
Sasha Gilmore Corban (Sofia Mattsson) finally agreed to sign her conservatorship after Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) promised it wouldn’t last longer than necessary while Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) looked on. Later, during their celebration at Charlie’s, Brando spotted a suspicious conversation between Joss and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and he followed them outside. Right at that moment, the mysterious hook culprit came up behind him in the rain… Meanwhile, Nikolas was in the clear because he was by Ava’s side at the hospital. Whew? An innocent Cassadine. Imagine that. Ava had received an earful about Nikolas from Portia, and hearing from Elizabeth that he had no alibi, the hooking victim called Nikolas to the hospital, and he arrived, handcuffed by one of Sonny’s henchmen.
About those divorce papers, Jordan decides, in the face of Curtis’s wrath, to take the wrap for Aunt Stella, using the chaos that was her life and her kidney surgery as the reason. Curtis isn’t sure he believes here and shares with Portia that he thinks Jordan didn’t file the papers on purpose. General Hospital recaps tease that Stella insisted that another Ashford family member was located in Port Charles according to the ancestry registry, and she was going to find them!… Does this have to do with Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) paternity? Jordan looked very alarmed.
Ava still struggles with whether her husband was innocent of her attempted murder. After all, he once tried to kill Hayden. Nikolas assured her that was different. He didn’t love Hayden, and she wasn’t his wife at the time he had her shot. Fair enough… Then he countered with the time she changed Morgan Corinthos’s (Bryan Craig) bipolar medication… They both have plenty of skeletons in their closets.
Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) screamed when she witnessed Brando being gouged by someone with a hook. As she called for an ambulance, Sonny rushed to her side, quickly joined by Sasha and Gladys. His wife and mother accompanied him to the hospital. Gladys prayed while Sasha watched breathlessly through the emergency room window as Portia and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) tried to save him.
As circumstances would have it, Carly’s plane was grounded in Jacksonville, Florida, where she grew up. After much whining and complaining, the sassy blonde sat next to a nice older woman and began to look back on her life, causing her thoughts to, eventually, turn to Drew… Drew, still trying to get ahold of Carly, met up with Sam and Scout (Cosette Abinante). Sam gave her blessing to Drew to be with Carly. The smitten hunk kept calling his would-be lady to no avail, not knowing her phone was still on the grounded plane.
Grounded without an electronic device, Carly decides to detach from technology and read a book. A genteel southern lady strikes up a conversation with her. The woman brings up Ruby Anderson’s (Norma Connolly) old house, referring to it as a house of ill repute. Carly admitted that she was Norma’s niece… As if struck by lightning, Carly realized that she was talking to the real mom of Carly Roberts, the best friend whose persona she took on when Caroline Benson decided to leave Florida to head to Port Charles. Mrs. Roberts (Linda Purl), who goes by Mrs. Honeycut now, was displeased to see Caroline and gave her a piece of her mind… Drew grew increasingly worried back in Port Charles when he couldn’t reach Carly, while a concerned, but very ill, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) looked on.
TJ delivered updates on Brando’s condition to concerned loved ones, Sasha and Glady, now joined by Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Very dire indeed… Jordan continued to pick Lexi’s brain about what she saw and was convinced these were crimes of opportunity. Sonny, when he learned of Joss’s presence, remained concerned that Jordan was wrong. He appealed to Dex to look out for her after Michael told him to stay away from Joss. Now Dex has a new dilemma…
Over at the Metro Court Pool, Joss, Trina, Cameron Webber (William Lipton), and Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) discuss the unfolding hooker drama… Trina adds to the drama talk by discussing Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) feelings for her to Rory, all the while assuring him it doesn’t change their relationship before he gets called away for duty… Joss shares the dumpster diving incident with Dex to Trina, who chastises her for not telling Cam… At last, Ava’s feelings for Nikolas soften but not enough to take him back. Still, Nikolas leaves feeling a little more optimistic.
Both Sasha and Gladys continue their bedside vigil to will Brando to live. Portia is cautiously optimistic… Later, Sasha is elated when her husband squeezed her hand and opened his eyes… Elsewhere, Jordan’s suspicions lead her straight to the Corinthos family leading her to question Sonny on his mob connections, even suggesting Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) may be involved… Meanwhile, Dante is worried when he sees Lexi with Dex. She assures him if her father trusts Dex, so does she.
At Q stables, Dante moves on to Cody. He makes sure that his friend has an alibi for the latest hooking. He did. Later, Brook Lynn spies Cody and Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) bonding over horses, and she is impressed…Curtis still can’t believe that Jordan forgot to mail the divorce papers. And Jordan still can’t bring herself to tell the truth about Aunt Stella. Clearly, the detective isn’t adept at lying properly… Curtis tells Portia he needs honesty.
Back at the Metro Court pool, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) are hanging out when Selina shows up to remind them who’s the boss. The conversation turned to Cody Bell, and Britt was surprised when Brad encouraged her to give the cowboy a chance despite the fact he may leave town, and even Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) didn’t even like him anymore. Britt is so confused. Can’t she get a straight answer?
