Despite rallying to his doctor’s satisfaction, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) suddenly takes a turn for the worst…Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) overhears Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) make mention of a hook being used to attack both Brando and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West); he relays this news to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison)…Curtis Ashford (Donell Turner) demands to know if Jordan purposefully halted their divorce.
Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) submits to hypnosis and recalls seeing the woman she was arguing with at the top of the staircase lying at the foot of it. She also remembers a male figure observing the scene…Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) unintentionally sees off a bodyguard hired by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) charges himself with Joss’s protection.
Brando is pronounced dead. Friends and family surround Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs)…Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) asks Finn to cast his discerning eye on Brando’s stats…Alexis and Gregory debate the merits of reporting that a serial killer may be on the loose, as well as Alexis’s desire to contact the menace directly through the paper; Brando’s death spurs the two to agree on the former point.
Fresh from her session with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), Elizabeth is triggered when Finn repeats one of her father’s favorite phrases… Jordan cops to still loving Curtis but denies setting out to keep him from marrying Portia… Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) learns that the graveyard hosting her adoptive mother will soon be eliminated in favor of a new highway. Carly threatens to make trouble for Peyton Roberts (Linda Purl), progenitor of the project.
Selina Wu (Lydia Look) engineers an audition for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) at The Savoy; Curtis is impressed and offers Chase a gig…Curtis and Selina strike a deal: she books the club for a private party, and he pockets $50,000…Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) comes under fire for prioritizing her personal life over her career.
Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) finagles a luncheon date with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring)…Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) agree that Lucy should be taken out of the line of fire where Victor is concerned…Jordan contemplates telling Curtis that Portia is keeping something from him…Alexis and Kristina Corinthos (Lexie Ainsworth) have a set-to over the latter’s life choices; Kristina poo-poos her parents’ concerns for her safety.
Victor and Lucy dine aboard the unmoored Haunted Star. Anna and Valentin suss Lucy’s location and board the vessel; Victor’s henchman may or may not be altered to their presence…Sonny and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) worry when they realize that neither one of them has been able to contact Carly. Carly finally obtains a new cell phone and finds out what she’s been missing back home. Carly puts Peyton on blast.
During yet another hypnosis session, Elizabeth finally recalls the visage of the woman with whom she argued; she commits her memory to paper; the sketch bears a striking resemblance to Finn’s late wife, Reiko…Tests prove that Brando died as a result of poisoning; his assailant coated their weapon in a peculiar reptile venom…Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) commit themselves to being Sasha’s support system.
Elizabeth recognizes Finn’s wife as the woman from her drawing but keeps mum. Later, she finds photographic evidence that she and her family were somewhere on the Mariana Islands at the same time as the Finns…Anna and Valentin clear a path for Lucy’s escape, but she berates them for stymieing her efforts to ingratiate herself with Victor.
Nina offers Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) sanctuary from Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), but Ava hedges…Alexis warns Nikolas that it will take a grand gesture on his part to win back Ava’s trust…Sonny and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) clear the air between though complete reproachment isn’t achieved. The hook-wielding fiend sets their sights on Diane!
