The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, January 10, 2024, features a reporter (who will look awfully familiar to fans) telling Carly what Bobbie was really doing in Amsterdam.
Also in this episode, Laura memorialized her friend, Tracy and Lucy made peace (just for today, though), and those who loved Bobbie had their chance to say goodbye. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Carly (Laura Wright) got ready in her room for her mother’s memorial and cried while she put on Bobbie’s necklace. Meanwhile, Joss (Courtney Fulk), Drew (Cameron Mathison), and Michael (Chad Duell) welcomed Lucas (Ryan Carnes). They were all very sad but found comfort in each other.
Unfortunately, before heading to the church, Carly got a call and had to rush to Kelly’s. The sign was broken, most likely from a storm. Today of all days? Liz (Rebecca Herbst) kindly offered to paint a new one, but nothing would replace the original.

Felicia (Kristina Wagner) readied herself before she and Anna (Finola Hughes) picked up Maxie (Kirsten Storms) for Bobbie’s service. Felicia was grateful for the support. Maxie was grateful Bobbie saved her life by donating her daughter BJ’s heart to her.
Laura (Genie Francis) started her grief journey at the hospital staring at Bobbie’s picture on the hospital wall. She kissed it and told her she loved her before Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) came upon her.
Meanwhile, Sonny (Maurice Benard) headed to the church alongside Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna).
At the church, Carly joined her family as they shared a moment alone before the memorial. No one felt emotionally prepared but they had to do what needed to be done. Bobbie’s mourners walked inside the hall as a family and began greeting the other attendees.
Drew went to greet the priest while Carly made it a special point to thank Laura. Michael was briefly treated to a peaceful moment with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen).
The sadness was not lost on Tracy (Jane Elliot) or Lucy (Lynn Herring). They decided, just for today, they’d put their feud on the back burner.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) lit a candle for her friend as she, Sam, and Kristina (Kate Mansi) talked about Bobbie’s impact on their lives. Alexis flashed back to the moment Bobbie opened up about her abusive past.
Meanwhile, Maxie, Felicia, and Anna noticed a mysterious woman a few pews back. They wondered how she knew Bobbie. A patient perhaps?
It wasn’t long before the funeral began and pallbearers Lucas, Michael, Drew, Spencer, Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel), and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) carried in the casket.
Laura delivered a powerful eulogy highlighting Bobbie’s capability to love, her kind heart, and her unwavering support for all those around her. Scott said he was at a loss for words — a rare occurrence. Bobbie was a complicated woman who was the best of everything — kind, sweet, and generous. Next, Liz talked about Bobbie growing up with trauma and turning it into something healing. She was a healer who helped Liz through difficult times.
Carly stood to talk about her mom. She didn’t know what true acceptance was until she found her birth mother. Bobbie vowed to always be by her side. She sees Bobbie every time she looks at her kids. She then turned to Bobbie’s picture to say she loved her and the world was a very different place without her.
After the funeral, the mourners began to disperse and Lucas lit a candle and got a hug from Felix. Felix told him how great Bobbie was and how sorry he was for Lucas’s loss. He talked about how much fun she was during the Nurses’ Ball. She was a delight.
Meanwhile, Maxie went to check on the mystery woman. The woman introduced herself as Angela Brighton (GH welcomed back former BJ, Brighton Hertford), an AP reporter. She was doing a story on Bobbie.
This led to Angela accompanying Carly, Felicia, and Maxie back to Kelly’s to hear her story. As it turned out, Bobbie wasn’t just holed up in Amsterdam to deal with Luke’s affairs, she was helping women escape human trafficking.
Angela explained Bobbie began working with a non-profit to help women get out of their terrible situations as a way to heal her own past. In fact, there was one currently who she was trying to help. Bobbie passed before she could finish the job, though.
Carly was understandably shocked. She decided pretty quickly to finish what her mom began and find the woman she was trying to help. She called upon Tracy (Jane Elliot) for answers. Tracy didn’t know much, but she pointed Carly in the direction of a cafe Bobbie used to hang out in and mentioned a cabin in Canada that Luke used to own.
With that, Carly packed a bag and headed to Amsterdam. She no sooner left her house than Felicia showed up with a bag too. They decided to complete Bobbie’s mission together.
