Courtney Hope and Chad Duell
Courtney Hope (Sally, The Young and the Restless) and Chad Duell (Michael, General Hospital) might be on different soaps, but in real life, the two have a strong love connection that was made even stronger on Valentine’s Day.
Hope took to Instagram to announce a very special moment for the couple that occurred on the most romantic of days.
“Yesterday was a good day,” she wrote, adding a ring emoji to signify the couple’s engagement. “Forever with this man is a dream come true.”
She added some photos of the two of them with Hope proudly showing off her ring, and a video close-up of the beautiful blue gem. Duell posted the same images on his Instagram account and admitted, “I’m one lucky dude.”
The gorgeous couple first met during a party thrown by Bryan Craig (GH’s Morgan) in 2018, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
Just yesterday, the two expressed their love by sharing Valentine’s Day greetings on Instagram. “Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life,” Hope said. “I’d choose you over and over again if I had the chance. Thank you for all you are. Growing, learning and loving alongside you has been more incredible than I ever imagined love you @duelly.”
Duell responded in kind, not even hinting at the proposal that was to come later that day. “Happy Valentine’s Day to this beautiful woman! I love living life with you, and I am a very lucky man!” he said. His now-fiancée’s response to his message was, “I love you so much handsome.”
Plenty of fans and daytime stars have sent their congratulations to the happy couple, including Tracey Bregman (Lauren, YR), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy, BB), and Sofia Mattsson (Sasha, GH).
It seems their real-life romantic lives are much better than those of the characters they play. Michael married Willow recently but learned she was coerced into the wedding so he could keep custody of his son. Meanwhile, Sally is trying to reinvent herself in Genoa City after being unlucky in love and life in general while on The Bold and the Beautiful. Will either character find a love as strong as Hope and Duell enjoy? Stay tuned.
