This Is The General Hospital Father You’re Wanting To Celebrate

With today being Father’s Day, Soap Hub wanted to celebrate the great dads in Port Charles who are doing their very best (or so we hope) to raise their children…or other people’s children…in the best way they know-how. So are these General Hospital dads really doing a good job?

After all, Port Chuck does have its share of spoiled, entitled, and downright nasty next-gen folks but you can certainly say that the dads in town have different styles. We asked GH fans which style they appreciate the most and over 2,000 of you were willing to play amateur guidance counselors.

Mac Scorpio Knows Best

As Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) pointed out recently, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is a fantastic dad and none of the kids he raised were actually his. No matter! For 78% of you, he was still Tops. Sure, Georgie got murdered but that wasn’t his fault! Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) made it to adulthood and are now parents themselves.

General Hospital: The Mob Way

It looks like 14% of you approve of the job Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has done raising his and other men’s children. Not like anyone is going to bully his kids on the playground, right? There has to be at least one advantage to having a mobster raise you — since you have to put up with getting kidnapped and shot in the head on occasion.

Robert Scorpio, Super Dad

What is cooler than saying your dad is literally a secret agent? Nothing, say 7% of you. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is the personification of cool and sophisticated and you think he’s a pretty great father too! So what if he was missing for most of Robin’s childhood and left Mac to raise her? It went fine!

GH: The Dark Prince

Speaking of missing a lot of the childhood, only 1% of you approve of Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) parenting style of spoiling your kid and then disappearing, only to reappear and once again, spoil your kid. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) turned out okay, right? He’s not an entitled brat…oh wait.
