It’s been a long time since General Hospital was about medical issues. It’s even been a long time since the hottest couple in daytime was actually trying to bring down the mob, not venerate it.
General Hospital Polling
In fact, Port Charles not only has Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on the scene, mobbing things up, but two more have made it to town. The only question now is which of these mobsters is the baddest of them all:
GH: Never Send a Man To Do a Woman’s Job
Selina Wu (Lydia Look) may be a relative newcomer, but she’s already got 47% of you in her corner. This is someone you don’t want to cross…or even mildly displease. When Selina makes a threat, she doesn’t just throw some barware and then forget about it.
She follows through and gets it done. And she holds a grudge. Selina not only doesn’t forgive, she doesn’t forget. Which is what makes her scary in a way her male competition can only dream of.
General Hospital: Defanged
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) used to be scary, a smaller 38% of the audience shrugs. But he’s in jail now. Not that it would stop some people. But leave it to Cyrus to decide to change his ways and tread the straight and narrow path.
He wants to get to know his sister, and he wants to make amends. Which is nice for him. But pretty boring for those of us who were hoping, in the words of Homer Simpson, for “less talky-talky, more shooty-shooty.”
GH: What Have You Done For Me Lately?
And then there’s Sonny. Remember when everybody used to be afraid of him? Yeah, only 15% of voters do. The rest of us remember Sonny huffing and puffing and threatening to blow various houses down but, in the end, kind of sitting around and frowning, hoping that would do the trick. His ex-wife and kids might still think he has some power to affect their lives. But we doubt anyone else in Port Charles does.
