Sam McCall and Dante Falconeri are so, so very happy on General Hospital. They’re living together. Their kids presumably get along…off-screen. He’s busy investigating Lucy Coe’s “murder” and Anna Devane’s framing, she’s…also doing something. So everything is great! Which, in soap land, means boring. Do they need some obstacles to spice things up?
Almost half of you, 48%, think there can be no better obstacle than Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) making like Sleeping Beauty and rising from her coma to return to Port Charles…and demand her family back. And we don’t mean just son Rocco, we mean ex-husband Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), too. She should kick Sam (Kelly Monaco) to the curb. And see what she does next.
It’s nice to have a happy couple on the show, 27% of the audience disagrees. Everyone else is suffering, breaking up, and dropping dead. Let Sam and Dante play house, do their jobs, and periodically remember that they have kids. We’re good with that.
Sure, let them face a crisis, 13% of voters are willing to go along. But not one that will break them up, one that they can fight together. Nothing bonds a couple more than taking on the world. It will only connect them more and establish them as the couple no one can put asunder.
Only a slightly smaller 12% of fans are all for a third party, but not Lulu. You want to see Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) back in action and swooping in to reclaim his woman. Remember how smothered Sam felt with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)? What makes Dante any different? Sam is only happy when she’s on the wrong side of the law. And that’s her true love, Jason.
