Did Liz Webber do the right thing?
Liz Webber was on her way to getting away scot-free with her General Hospital crimes. No one could prove that she helped Nikolas keep Esme prisoner. Nik was “dead.” Esme has amnesia.
But Liz (Rebecca Herbst) decided to confess anyway. Because she is a good person. But is she also a dumb one? Here’s what over 2,000 jurors had to say about that.
A last place 7% of the audience is angry that Elizabeth has outed not just herself but also Nik (Adam Huss). Sure, he’s dead. But who knows how long that might last. And when he returns — which we all know he will — he will be facing kidnapping charges. As Barry Manilow sang, “Lady, that was some kind of friend you turned out to be.”
Liz may have done the right thing for her, 32% of you concede, but did she think about the effect it would have on her relationship with Laura (Genie Francis)? Nik and Lucky’s mom has been more of a parent to her than either of the people Liz is biologically related to. And this is how she repays her? Granted, Laura was just as furious when she learned what Nikolas had done to Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl). But does that mean she wants his crimes made public?
What makes Liz, Liz is her sense of right and wrong, 61% point out. Sure, she sometimes gets them confused. But, in the end, Liz always does the right thing. And this is the right thing to do. Sure, it won’t help Esme in any way. And Nik can’t be brought to justice. But Liz will have shown who she is. And she can sleep better at night. Even if it’s in jail (if her immunity deal goes sideways). Her kids will find someone to look after them. There’s always Laura.
