Britt Westbourne’s General Hospital death — and not at all the one she was expecting — was a tear-jerker. Liesl Obrecht got the chance to say goodbye, but so many others who were close to Britt learned about the loss off-screen.
Since so many people in Port Charles heard the news without you seeing it, whose reaction do you wish you could have seen first-hand? Here’s what we heard from over 2,000 voters.
Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) had a lot in common, comparing stories of their harridan mothers, sisters Liesl (Kathleen Gati) and Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills). They also bonded over their mutual “brother,” Nathan. Nina deserved to share her feelings about Britt’s death, 8% of the audience insists.
Britt was the aunt to two of Maxie Jones’s (Kirsten Storms) kids, little James through her brother, his dad, Nathan, and Bailey Louise via her other brother and his dad, Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Britt, who’s lived a sad childhood unloved by both of her parents. was determined to be there for Maxie’s boys. Something that Maxie, whose own father and mother were too busy saving the world to be there for her, was sensitive to. They were close enough for Maxie to warrant a reaction to Britt’s death, 15% of you are adamant.
Not only was Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) privy to Britt’s secret about her Huntington’s Disease, but he was the one a large segment of viewers felt she should have been paired with in her final days — not Cody Bell (Josh Kelly). They were good friends and considering that he was going to help her facilitate her death, it’s only fair that he should have found out on-camera about how all that scheming was for naught, according to 23% of you.
Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) wasn’t just Britt’s final karaoke partner. He was her best friend, 54% remind. They had stealing babies in common — and understanding why one might steal a baby—and forgiving each other for stealing a baby. He was a huge part of her life. Brad’s reaction was definitely missing.
