GH Fault Lines: Who Is To Blame for Nina Reeves and Carly’s War?

Nina Reeves and Carly have been at war on General Hospital since before Carly’s husband forgot his love for her and shifted his allegiance to Nina. There’s also the matter of their mutual grandson, Wiley (and his less important little sister, Amelia), Nina secretly turning Carly and Drew into the SEC, and Carly hiding Willow and Nina’s mother-daughter connection.

Nina Reeves: The Mother of All Lies

Only 5% see Carly (Laura Wright) as being the worst offender. She kept the secret that Nina (Cynthia Watros) was Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) mother. She kept the secret that Nina was Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) mother. She refused to let Nina see Wiley. Or, rather, she strongly encouraged Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow not to let Nina see Wiley. Is it any wonder her rival is on the warpath?

Carly’s mama lie is nothing compared to Nina not letting Carly know that Sonny (Maurice Benard) was alive and amnesiac. Two daughters don’t come close to adding up to one husband, 44% of you have crunched the numbers. Especially when that husband is Sonny. Nina can pretend that Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) is her daughter, but Sonny is irreplaceable!

Nina Reeves: Double the Drama

But for exactly 51% of the audience, it’s a split decision. Half of you think that there’s enough blame to go around. Half the fault lies with Nina, and half the fault lies with Carly. They’re both petty and childish and can’t let go when any rational person would have long gotten bored.

Until the pair of them grows up and stops plotting and scheming, this cycle of stupidity will continue. Sometimes Carly will win. Sometimes Nina will win. Ultimately, Willow will always be Nina’s daughter, and Wiley and Amelia will always be her grandchildren. But whether Carly will always have Sonny’s love…yeah, that’s even more indisputable.
