On the one hand, we have no problem with General Hospital’s Josslyn Jacks making her own choices. She has that right. The same way any other Port Charles character does. If she wants to sleep with Dex Heller, go ahead.
The only little quibble we have with her strong, independent womanhood is that, technically, Joss (Eden McCoy) was still in a relationship with Cameron Webber (William Lipton) at the time. She didn’t break up with him until after she’d bedded Dex (Evan Hofer). Did Joss make the wrong call? What almost 4,000 voters told us about that:
Joss’s heart — OK, it was more like some other body parts — wanted Dex. And Joss was raised to go after what she wants, 16% of you remind. Just like Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) loves with her whole heart, so does Joss. And, frankly, there’s no room in there to be thinking about anyone else.
An almost equal 17%, on the other hand, sincerely believe that what Joss did was bad…but it makes for good drama, so who cares? If Joss had done the right thing and broken up with Cam prior to hitting the sheets with Dex, then what would we even have to talk about? Joss and Dex’s relationship needs outside drama — like whatever it is he has against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Dex’s secret dealings with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) — because there is certainly nothing intrinsically interesting between the two of them.
But, ultimately, 67% of the audience doesn’t care about the drama. All you can think about is Cam’s sad, little face when Joss told him she was no longer in love with him. He was heartbroken. How is he going to feel when he learns — because no one can keep their mouth shut in Port Charles — that Joss also cheated on him first?
