As if Elizabeth Webber Spencer Lansing Baldwin doesn’t have enough problems of her own on General Hospital, she now knows that Nikolas Cassadine has his pregnant teenage one-night stand locked up…with no plans of what he intends to do about it in the future. Now it’s up to Liz whether or not she spills his secret.
While 52% of you agree that Liz (Rebecca Herbst) probably should — it is the right thing to do, blah, blah, blah; kidnapping is wrong, blah, blah, blah — you are equally certain she won’t. Liz and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) go way back, from teenage friends to cheating lovers, when Liz wasn’t sure if Nik or Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) was the biological father of her youngest son, Aiden. After you’ve been through something like that together, who are you to judge him for locking up a young woman and denying her medical and prenatal care?
Liz is a nurse. She knows Nik is putting Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) life, and the life of her unborn baby, in danger. She cannot allow this to happen, 35% of voters insist. Yes, she and Nik are friends, but this is beyond the pale and needs to be nipped in the bud as soon as possible.
This is Nik’s problem, 13% of the audience dismisses. And it is none of Liz’s business. She still needs to process what she has learned about her parents, her own past, and the woman she killed — who just happens to be the ex-wife of Liz’s romantic interest, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton)…and was sleeping with Liz’s dad. Our point is that she should clean up her own mess before butting into and judging someone else’s. Nik will deal with Esme…eventually.
