Crew Cut: Should Carly and Drew Give Love a Whirl on General Hospital?

Let’s get real: Carly Corinthos has wanted Jason Morgan from the moment she arrived on General Hospital and they hooked up across a pool table. She wanted him through her marriage to Jasper Jacks, she wanted him through her flings with Alcazar and Franco, and she definitely wanted him through all of her many marriages to Sonny Corinthos.

Carly (Laura Wright) almost got Jason (Steve Burton) while Sonny (Maurice Benard) was presumed dead. But now Jason is presumed dead. So what’s a gal to do? Except cast her eye onto his twin brother? Could Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) ever become…Crew? What almost 4,000 voters told us:

GH: One Down

Carly’s pecking order has always been clear: Jason, then Sonny. With Jason dead, 45% of you see Drew as a reasonable option…as long as she can get over Sonny, too. Sure, Carly is currently furious that her amnesiac husband fell for that awful, baby-stealing Nina Reeves (Cynthia Reeves). If Sonny wanted a baby stealer, why not stick with the one he already had?

General Hospital: Better Off Dead

Who cares about Carly, Drew deserves better, 43% of the audience is screaming for the recently-released-from-captivity asset to keep his distance. If he can’t reunite with the mother of his child Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), there are plenty of other fish in the sea. Just stay away from Carly. Nobody ever escapes her clutches unscathed. And you’ve been through enough!

GH: Perfection

Only 12% of fans believe these two are perfect for each other. Carly needs someone with a high tolerance for pain, and Drew has been tortured…he can take it. As for Drew, he doesn’t mind being second choice. Look how he put up with Sam using him as a replacement Jason, too. They’re a match made in dysfunction!
