We know, we know, Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine didn’t like Nina Reeves buying Carly Corinthos’s share of the hotel out from under her on General Hospital, which made the two of them reluctant business partners.
General Hospital Polling
But is she justified in constantly getting in Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) face about it? We asked the viewers who are forced to listen to Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) rage on and on, and here’s what they said.
GH Friends In Deed
There is nothing wrong with what Olivia is doing, 52% of the audience insists. She is defending her friend. Olivia is from Brooklyn. Did you know that? And people from Brooklyn are totes loyal when it comes to family. Did you know that? Carly (Laura Wright) is family.
She was married for years to Olivia’s baby daddy, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Now Carly and Sonny are divorced, and Sonny is seeing that horrible Nina. Who is definitely not family. Which is why Olivia has every right to make Nina’s life miserable. For Carly’s sake.
General Hospital I’m Rubber and You’re Glue
On the other hand, 29% of you don’t see this as a good look for Olivia. To start with, she comes off as an obnoxious buttinsky. For another, Nina isn’t to blame for Carly going into enough debt that she lost her hotel. Carly screwed this up, not Nina. And, in either case, it’s not Olivia’s place to judge. Or comment.
Turn Around
Nina is to blame here, too, 19% of voters would like to put on the record. She’s just as much in Olivia’s business as Olivia is in hers. Nina should be the bigger person here and rise above Olivia’s taunts.
If Olivia wants her staff to be rude to Nina and continue singing Carly’s praises, Nina should suck it up. She’s the woman who broke up the great Corinthos love story. This is her penance.
