Let us all agree that Nikolas Cassadine was an idiot for sleeping with Esme Prince on General Hospital. And let us all agree that Ava Jerome Cassadine is worth over 100 of that spoiled psycho teeny-bopper.

The big question here isn’t whether or not Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) is worthy of Ava (Maura West). He’s not. The big question is, whether Ava will decide to forgive him.
Suffering Succotash
They are pretty hot together, 45% of you sigh, which means that, for the good of society, Ava should forgive Nik. But not right away. Oh, no, not right away. Ava needs to make the jerk pay.
Which means she needs to make him suffer. Make him worry, make him wonder, make him shed some manly tears. Sure, we know how this story is going to end. But he doesn’t. And that’s a good thing.
General Hospital: Forget About It
Nope, 43% of the General Hospital audience shrugs. No forgiveness, ever. Ava has done everything for Nikolas – well, you know, after their marriage got over their initial mutual blackmail hump – and this is how he repaid her?

Not only did he cheat on Ava, but he did it with his son’s kind-of girlfriend. That’s just…tacky. Ava is classier than that. And we know she can do better. Take Nikolas to the cleaners. Get all that wonderful Cassadine money. And then move on. We suggest… Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).
They Were on a Break
Nikolas didn’t cheat on Ava, a nit-picky 12% of voters insist. They were not together when he slept with Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), so it doesn’t count. Once he explains it to Ava, she will have no choice but to forgive him. After all, if there is one thing the Jeromes are known for, it’s their adherence to the letter – and the spirit – of the law.
