No Way Out: Has Julian Been Written Into a Corner on General Hospital?

General Hospital’s Julian has done a lot of bad stuff during his multiple visits to Port Charles. He’s threatened the alleged love of his life with a knife to her throat. He kept Wiley’s true parentage a secret from Lucas and Michael.

And now he’s planted a bomb – on Cyrus’ (Jeff Kober) orders – that killed Dev (Ashton Arbab) and Dustin (Mark Lawson), hurt Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Cam (William Lipton), and, most importantly, almost got Jason (Steve Burton) and Danny, too. Is this a bridge too far? Has he crossed a moral event horizon Julian (William deVry) can never come back from? What almost 3000 fans told us about that:

End Of the Road

Yup, 73% of the audience shrug, Julian is dunzo. Threatening Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was one thing, breaking his own son’s heart – not to mention leaving Michael to suffer for months – is another. But when you allow anyone in Port Charles to think – even for a few minutes – that Jason might have been harmed, that’s fighting words. Or, rather, the rubicon that can’t be crossed.

Julian has gone too far, and now it’s time for him to get out of town – before Sonny (Maurice Benard) expresses his displeasure. Good thing DeVry has already confirmed he’s leaving. Or we’d be really worried. Of course, he also killed innocent people and almost killed people his sister really cares about…

Anything Is Possible

A smaller 27% of General Hospital fans remind us that this is soap opera land, which means anything is possible, and anything is forgivable. Julian hasn’t even come close to committing as many or as bad of crimes as some other members of the community. And we’re not even talking just the professional criminals, we’re talking the good guys!

The mayor has several federal offenses under her belt, so does her husband, and so do every single one of her friends. Julian is just one of the gang, and, of course, he can be forgiven – and saved! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
