Nina Reeves’s world just blew up on General Hospital as Sonny Corinthos remembered that he isn’t a wholesome diner employee named Mike, but actually, a rageaholic mobster who has a wife and kids back in Port Charles – and Nina knew that all along.
Now Sonny (Maurice Benard) is, well, enraged (which is his usual state of being), and Nina (Cynthia Watros) is about to become the town pariah – again. What should she do next? Almost 4,000 voters have suggestions:
What Nina and Sonny had was never real, 63% of you point out. Sure, he fell in love with her. But he wasn’t himself. And Nina knew it. How could she take his feelings seriously, when she was lying to the man? The relationship always had an end date, and the sooner Nina accepts that and moves on with another General Hospital man, the better.
What Nina should be a lot more concerned about, 33% of the audience insists, is that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) might one day forgive her. Maxie married Nina’s beloved brother, Nathan (Ryan Paevey), and she’s the mother of Nina’s nephew, James. They’re family. And Nina also knew that Maxie’s next baby daddy, Peter August (Wes Ramsey), was still alive and hunting her and their child. And she did nothing to protect either of them.
In last place are the 4% who believe in the Nina and Sonny pairing. You also believe that Nina should just wait for him to calm down, look around, realize that the reason he didn’t remember Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and his children is that he…didn’t want to.
Their relationship was dysfunctional from the start and, from the moment Sonny was presumed dead, Carly ran out and married Sonny’s favorite hitman, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). So maybe she just wasn’t all that into him. Which means Sonny is free to be into Nina.
