Nicolas Bechtel Takes The First Day Of School To A Whole New Level

It’s that time of year again when kids return to school from a summer of fun (or boredom, as some kids say) — and soap kids like General Hospital (GH) star Nicolas Bechtel are no different. Except this year he is — and he did something amazing.

Now that his stint at GH is over, and Spencer has returned to boarding school, the young thespian has to head back to the books himself. But he did it with a twist.

Bechtel took to Instagram to share his big news with a picture. “Yesterday we handed out 200 backpacks to kids at Sheridan Elementary,” he shared.

Those backpacks will mean the world to the lucky kids in Los Angeles who received them.

He was invited to do so by Baby2Baby, an organization that provides low-income children ages 0-12 years with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities that every child deserves.
