Soap fans have loved the multitude of characters that Sarah Joy Brown has brought to life ever since she first appeared on the daytime scene back in 1996 when she originated the role of Carly Benson on General Hospital. Now the actress has revealed something shocking about her life on social media — that the Los Angeles Police Department follows her.
The star is no stranger to speaking out on social media. In September of 2018, she revealed her longtime feud with the now-former CEO of CBS, Les Moonves, whom she says allegedly blocked her from roles on the eye network and sabotaged her career. Monday evening, she revealed something else that tangentially relates to this.
“As strange as it sounds it’s as if the #LAPD has decided I’m one of the characters I’ve played on television. Seriously, they follow my car all day every day, everywhere I go. 6 yrs. I think they think I’m Claudia Zacchara [her second character]. They’ve been doing this since I played Claudia on GH,” she wrote on Twitter.
But it was when a fellow Tweeter asked if this could be connected to her ex (Shuki Levy) and have anything to do with it, that sheds the most light on her statement. “Very best question I’ve received… hmmmmmm. His best friend was the head of the LA Drug unit and one of 5 up for the job of chief of Police. I’m sure it’s crossed my mind… often,” she replied.
Brown, who also played Madison on Days of our Lives and Agnes on The Bold and the Beautiful, and most recently appeared in Studio City, has spoken out often on Twitter about her past with her ex and her feelings that the LAPD hasn’t done enough (or rather anything) to help her.
Will the country’s new focus on policing tactics do anything to help her situation? Brown will surely update her followers if that’s the case — and Soap Hub will let you know anything that she shares.
