One important General Hospital character needs to return to Port Charles to join the ranks of the rising next generation: Dillon Quartermaine. Played by a handful of actors over the years, Dillon was the black sheep of the family. He eventually left town to become a filmmaker. But nowadays, movies can be made anywhere, including in Port Charles. Dillon had a roller coaster life and could bring some history and fun to GH.

He Could Reunite With Lulu

While the character originated as a baby on GH and then as an older boy on The City, Dillon is mainly remembered as being played by Scott Clifton, who exited in 2007. Clifton would go on to find success as Liam Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2010, a role that he continues to play today. Robert Palmer Watkins then played the part from 2015 to 2017 and has gone on to appear in several films and TV shows.

With Lulu (Alexa Havins) returning and Dillon’s mother Tracy (Jane Elliot) soon ascending to be the matriarch of the Quartermaine family, the time is right for him to return. Dillon and Lulu had kind of a thing going on. With her struggling to fit into the world after a four-year coma and trying to find her daughter Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), throwing Dillon into the mix would be truly interesting to watch. Let’s not forget that he helped Lulu clear Laura’s (Genie Francis) name when she was accused of murdering Rick Webber (Chris Robinson). And she could task him with helping her find Charlotte.

He Could Return Ruthless

Tracy has been tightening her hold on the family, as illustrated by the fact that she’s keeping Wiley (Viron Weaver) and Amelia (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) from their mother, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) because she seems to be controlled by an increasingly unhinged and manipulative Drew (Cameron Mathison). Odds are that she could summon Dillon home to increase her ranks and be by her side during the chaos.

Plus, since Ned (Wally Kurth) isn’t quite becoming like his grandfather and Tracy’s dad, Edward, perhaps Dillon could join the Port Charles kids who are becoming like their parents. Maybe working in the cutthroat world of filmmaking has sharpened Dillon’s teeth, and he’s ready to take on the mantle of being a true Quartermaine heir. A new, ruthless Dillon would be just what the show needs to spice up the Quartermaine dynasty and truly bring the new generation to the forefront.
