Former General Hospital star Kelly Sullivan, who played Kate/Connie, hasn’t been seen on a daytime soap since Sage Warner, the character she played on The Young and the Restless, met her untimely end. However, the actress has continued to busy herself with film and television projects. Now, Sullivan is celebrating a major milestone.
Happy Birthday, Kelly Sullivan
That’s because she was born on February 3, 1978, in Puyallup, Washington, which means that this talented actress is turning 46 years old today! Upon graduating from the University of Arizona, Sullivan landed a role in Contact, a Broadway show.
Subsequently, she appeared in Bells Are Ringing and had a small cameo role in the feature film The Producers. She made her television debut in a 2007 episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and afterward played in a number of independent films — My Father’s Will, Winter of Frozen Dreams, and According to Greta, chief among them.
In 2011, she joined the cast of the ABC daytime drama General Hospital, replacing Megan Ward in the role of Kate Howard. She gave us a story arc that saw her portray Kate’s alternate personality Connie Falconeri, earning Sullivan immense praise.
Following a storyline-dictated exit — during which Kate was shot and killed in whodunit? style mystery — Sullivan landed a recurring role on the Nickelodeon series Henry Danger and a recurring role on the CBS soap The Young and the Restless as Sage.
After Y&R, she landed a starring role in Tyler Perry’s serial Too Close to Home, which aired on TLC between 2016 and 2017. Other acting credits include guest spots on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Five Points, Dirty John, and The Morning Show.
Sullivan has also made a name for herself by appearing in a number of made-for-television thrillers such as Give Me My Baby, Her Boyfriend’s Secret, Til Ex Do Us Part, Instakiller, and Killer Grandma.
Soap Hub would like to wish Kelly Sullivan a very happy birthday and many more. We hope to see her on our daytime screens again. Also, share your favorite memory of her work or if you’ve met her personally in the comments section.
