The making of a soap opera has long fascinated fans. General Hospital viewers were thrilled when Eden McCoy took them behind the scenes for the sequence in which Josslyn kills the villainous Cyrus Renault. Even newcomer Sawandi Wilson, who plays Dr. Isaiah Gannon, got into the action with his own BTS peek. Another actor new to the show, Daniel Goddard, joined the fun with a rare deep peek beyond what fans usually see, and it was thrilling.
The Studio Is Enormous
Goddard, who plays the mysterious Professor Dalton, shared a video on Instagram with the caption, “Heading quietly to the #generalhospital set because they’re in the middle of taping. Walk with me…Shhhh!” In the video, we see from Goddard’s point of view as he takes the camera into the studio’s set.
But we didn’t see the lavish Quartermaine mansion or the gothic Wyndemere from the front, sans actors. This was truly behind everything as we saw all the various set pieces, mostly from the back side. As he cautiously walked down the hall, he took a turn, and we could see the vast room full of all the sets, laid out around the perimeter.

A Clear Picture of the Studio
The entire ceiling was covered with a light grid, and the open space in the center of all the sets was obviously created for the cameras to be able to glide around from set to set. One fan commented what many were thinking: “I have wondered what the sets look like. So cool. 👏👏👏👏.” Goddard replied to them, “@jeaniekelley5 so much creativity behind the scenes.”
Another fan pointed out what could be heard in the video, writing, “Shhhhh Daniel I can hear your footsteps Quiet on the set action 🎥 get to work Professor Dalton @generalhospitalabc @thedanielgoddard 🤟😻👌💙💙💙💙💙.” Goddard responded, “@541stimpy Got it! Lol😍.” Got a sizzling fan theory? Email news@soaphub.com — yours could be our next hot topic!
