Tabyana Ali Asked About Trina’s Catchphrase On General Hospital & Fans Came Through

Most soap characters are known for their iconic catchphrases. Some have one or two that they regularly say. That’s the case for Port Charles resident Trina Robinson. General Hospital fans already know what phrases Tabyana Ali’s character says on the soap. They were quick to answer Ali’s burning question on social media. See if you can guess for yourself.

The Catchphrase Game

Ali had a fun idea for GH fans. She took to X (formerly Twitter) to ask them whether they could recall any of Trina’s familiar catchphrases. She also wondered whether she had any phrases that she’s known for.

“I was thinking…does Trina have a catchphrase that she says all the time…Also, do I have a catchphrase that I say all the time?? you tell me!” Ali posted. 

Unsurprisingly, GH fans delivered. Most of them had the same answer in mind. They agreed that Trina often says, “Pause,” while Ali resorts to saying, “I appreciate you.” She loves to show her appreciation for her fans on social media.

One fan shared a clip of Trina saying, “Pause.” Meanwhile, another fan included footage of Trina saying, “I know that’s right.” A different fan noticed that Trina would say, “I heart art.”

But other fans couldn’t come up with a singular catchphrase for Trina. One user bluntly wrote, “No, she doesn’t, and that sucks.” Another user mused, “You’re more of an eye-roller than a catchphrase.” 

A third fan commented, “I haven’t noticed Trina having a catchphrase. You definitely deserve to have one. Also, I do not know if you have one. Do you??…. Btw, love your character & the job you do!!” 

One fan suggested that Ali’s personal catchphrase should be ” Lawd ham mercy.” Meanwhile, other fans shared their positive experiences meeting the soap star. 

Some declared that Ali’s character should use more of her catchphrase on the ABC soap. It would have to flow with the script and storyline. Otherwise, it would make her character unrealistic.
