Sonny Has Disowned All But One On General Hospital

Sonny has slowly but surely disconnected from everyone he’s ever cared about on General Hospital. But one lucky lady remains in Sonny’s life, and the April 15, 2024 episode summed it all up.

I’m A Traitor, You’re A Traitor

During a conversation at the warehouse, Carly (Laura Wright) shared with Jason (Steve Burton) everything that happened with Sonny (Maurice Benard, who recently gave fans an update on his struggle with anxiety on State of Mind) while he was gone. She explained the way Michael (Chad Duell) hired Dex (Evan Hofer) to take his father down and the way Sonny disowned Michael and almost killed Dex when he found out.

She also admitted that she’s stopped loving Sonny and that he’s been blaming her and Jason for everything wrong in his life. “He barely noticed you were gone,” she recalled when they learned Jason was presumed dead in 2021.

Only One Remains

Meanwhile, Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Ava (Maura West) met at the Crimson office to also discuss Sonny. Nina has been out of Sonny’s life since he found out she was responsible for turning Carly and Drew into the SCC, and now she’s enlisted Ava’s help to try and get him back.

Of all the people Sonny’s been close to, Ava is the only one who remains still in his life, and she’s only getting closer to him. While none of them know Sonny’s strong feelings are due to his lack of bipolar medication, it’s only a matter of time until he does what he does best and hops into bed with Ava.
