It’s been a long time coming, but Congressman Drew Cain might soon get his comeuppance on General Hospital. Already in the past week, the threats started rolling in, as he’s pretty much made an enemy of nearly all the denizens of Port Charles. So far, Alexis, Nina, Carly, and Curtis have all threatened him after his heinous deeds. It’s looking like the show is setting things up to have a ‘Who Shot Drew?’ storyline going on, but is shooting him a little too obvious? Perhaps, as more suspects are thrown into the pool, there’s another way Drew can be neutralized once and for all.

Drew’s Dark Descent

Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) migration to the dark side has been brewing for quite some time, and his progression has been a nice slow burn. Before we knew it, he was a full-on bad guy, and no one saw it coming. When he first arrived in Port Charles, Drew believed he was actually Jason Morgan, but it turned out he was his twin. He was a good guy, and among his derring-do was helping Curtis (Donnell Turner) disarm a bomb at GH, and later joining Laura’s (Genie Francis) merry band that saved the world from the villainous Victor (Charles Shaughnessy).

Fans are assuming that eventually, a disgruntled citizen will shoot him, much like what happened to EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) on Days of Our Lives. But considering that was just done recently, perhaps a different method of getting rid of him is in order. And the secret lies in Deception cosmetics.

A Deadly Deception

We saw what happened to Maxie (Kirsten Storms); just before going on the air on Home & Heart, she was given a special container of Deception’s cream to hock. But once she applied the cream as a demonstration for the viewers of the shopping show, she passed out, eventually landing in a coma. And it’s not been revealed that this is the work of Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

Sidwell recently told his son, Marco (Adrian Anchondo), that Drew was becoming a liability because his crazy antics don’t align with the villain’s machinations. Sidwell could easily poison Drew, either rendering him also comatose, or worse. Marco’s already ruined things by telling Drew his dad’s scheme to take Sonny (Maurice Benard) down, so Sidwell would love to see Drew gone for good.

While everyone’s expecting a bullet to off Congressman Cutthroat, he may be dispatched in another, more creative way.
