Kristina really created a mess on General Hospital when she cut the brake lines on Ric’s car, nearly killing him and Elizabeth. Eventually, Ava figured out what happened and decided to blackmail Alexis, threatening to send her daughter to jail if she didn’t pony up some of that Cassadine fortune that she’s been tasked with overseeing. Ric got in on the game, and Alexis later told Kristina about it. She turned around and eventually filled her brother, Michael, in on what she had done, and he said they would make things right.
When All Else Fails, Ask Dad to Handle It
What could Michael (Rory Calhoun) do to help Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) get out from under Ric’s (Rick Hearst) and Ava’s (Maura West) thumbs? First off, he could talk to his dad, Sonny (Maurice Benard), since he recently neutralized Sidwell (Carlo Rota) for the time being. Sonny could exert some pressure on his brother and Ava, compelling them to stop their blackmail scheme.
He could also hire Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and perhaps Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to dig up some dirt on the two. If he had something juicy to use against them, he’d create a stalemate. Then they would have to end their diabolical plot.

Michael is wealthy, so he could easily offer Ava and Ric a huge cash settlement, with the understanding that after that, they no longer blackmail the Davis girls.

If it ever gets out that Alexis is siphoning money from the Cassadine estate and sending it to Ric and Ava’s phony shell company, she could end up in jail and even lose her law license (again). After stopping them, Michael would need to give Alexis the money that was taken and put it back in the account before anyone suspects anything. As long as Ava and Ric acquiesce, he could totally solve the problem and be the hero.
