He’s had some memorable romances and concocted several cockamamie schemes, many of which he pulled off with the help of Lucy Coe. However, the last time he was seen in Port Charles was in August 2024, where he abruptly disappeared. Since then, fans have been wondering what Shriner’s status on the show is, and he may have recently answered that.
He’s Synonymous With GH
On Instagram, Shriner shared a photo of a dressing room door behind the scenes at GH that had the name Jens Austin Astrup on it. That actor plays Kai, but Shriner was unaware who it was, as his caption read, “This day comes for all actors on soaps. I say good luck to whoever this is! I had a great run, thanks @generalhospitalabc fans for decades of support. I will wash this down with a martini and forge on !!!”
His post implies that Astrup has taken over his old dressing room, and fans wondered when he would be back. One viewer phrased their praise perfectly with the response, “You will always be synonymous with GH for me! Scotty is a GH icon!❤️❤️.” Another lovingly wrote, “So many of us love and miss you Kin! We are an amazing “Scotty”. I would love to see Scotty and Lucy back together 🙂.”
