Scarlett Fernandez announced on social media that she’s achieved a new milestone in her life’s path. The General Hospital star drew tons of responses from fans who were suitably shocked that she seems to be growing up so fast.

Although Charlotte Cassadine has been back in a Swiss boarding school for several months, fans have been wondering if she ever came to terms with the fact that her grandfather, Victor (Charles Shaughnessy), manipulated her into tormenting Anna (Finola Hughes). While we await some sort of resolution to that storyline, her portrayer, Scarlett Fernandez, has been keeping fans up-to-date with her personal life. In August 2023, the actress celebrated her 14th birthday, and now she has some more great news.

Fans were shocked when Fernandez took to Instagram in June to post a picture of herself at the driver’s wheel of a car with the caption, “Jesus take the wheel 🏎️.”

Apparently ready to drive, one fan incredulously responded, “Hahahaha…way to go Scarlet!! How is this possible already???” She wasted no time in replying, “In Idaho, you can get your permit at 14.5 and license at 15 😍.”

This surprising news had her followers chiming in with a wide variety of responses, and one summed up their sentiments perfectly by writing, “You grew up too fast! Be safe out there!❤️.”

Fernandez’s followers were previously concerned for her health in December 2023, after she announced a tumor had been removed from her foot, and she thanked the medical team that took great care of her.

Now that she’s on the road, many fans had a hard time wrapping their brains around the fact that the young actress is getting older, let alone old enough to drive. Still, many of her well-wishers congratulated her and advised her to be a safe driver.
