Ryan Paevey Addresses His Brief Break From Acting
In an interview with Woman’s World, Paevey admitted that he’s still finding his footing in the acting world. It was challenging for him to get back into the groove after leaving the entertainment industry and moving to San Diego.
“Taking care of my family motivated me to take a break from the biz, and then also to return,” Paevey explained. “And maybe my decision to ‘retire’ was premature, I’d had my 15 minutes, and I have Fortunate Wanderer, my jewelry business that does quite well, so I just worked as a silversmith and did my thing.”
It was a difficult decision for Paevey, who shared that he felt “selfish” about stepping back from acting. He had a good experience with the industry. By the time Paevey was ready to return, he got a text message from GH showrunner Frank Valentini. “It was fortuitous timing,” Paevey said.
Is Paevey Returning To Hallmark?
Paevey has filmed several movies since returning to the entertainment industry. “I’ve got a few films lined up for 2026, and I was just in Barbados for what is probably the most beautiful film I’ve ever shot,” Paevey teased.
He described the project as an “adventure flick” that’s a cross between Indiana Jones and Romancing the Stone. Of course, Paevey shares his love for surfing in the film as well, and offers a new side of himself with the fans.
As for Hallmark, that’s currently on the back burner. All the filming has caused Paevey to press pause during the holiday season. “I’m exhausted. Movies are back, television’s back, I’m making brand deals, I’m keeping my business afloat. I’m busier than I’ve ever been…” Paevey said.
