Real-Life Soap Opera Couple Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain Break Up

Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain appeared together as love interests Craig Montgomery and Rosanna Cabot two decades ago on the gone-but-never-forgotten As the World Turns. They began dating in real-life and were married on February 14, 2014, but now, after about a decade of being husband and wife, the two are announcing a major change in their relationship.

“Cady and Jon here,” began a joint statement on the couple’s individual Instagram pages. “We are taking this opportunity to make a short statement about our relationship status. It may be obvious to some based on our posts that we’ve taken some time apart. After serious consideration we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage.

“We remain friends and wish each other every happiness,” the statement continued. “As people who work in the public eye, it can be difficult to have a private life. Regardless, we ask for your kind consideration in this matter.”

Last week, Cady McClain posted from New York City, showing photos of picturesque Central Park and an image of her beloved dog, Ronda. “A beautiful day in Central Park. Spring winds have calmed and I’m slowly healing,” the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning actress posted. “Each day is another day to learn, to try again.”

McClain’s last soap opera was Days of our Lives. She subbed for Melissa Reeves as Jennifer Horton and won the 2021 Daytime Emmy for Guest Performer in a Drama Series for her turn in Salem.
