General Hospital fans still feel the loss of two beloved actors, Tristan Rogers and Johnny Wactor, whose time in Port Charles left lasting marks on the soap’s legacy. Rogers, of course, played the suave yet lethal super spy, Robert, and was a cornerstone of the show’s heyday and beyond. Wactor became an instant fan favorite as Brando, whose time was cut way too short both on and off screen. Although they were of different generations, both actors shared a deep connection with their castmates and fans, and their absence feels truly surreal.
The Veteran and The Rising Star
Coastal Entertainment, the celebrity management and booking agency, shared a photo of Rogers and Wactor at a fan event, captioning it, “Came across this treasured photo…Two wonderful men gone too soon. It was a privilege to work with [Tristan Rogers and Johnny Wactor] – hard to believe they’re both gone 🥲. Love that we have so many memories, though, and we know how many of you enjoyed meeting them. 💕💕💕
One fan had a very poignant comment: “Precious memories. Our time is fleeting.” Robert and Holly (Emma Samms) had moved to France, with their daughter Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and granddaughter Daisy, eventually moving in with them. That made Brando Robert and Holly’s late son-in-law, and one fan recalled them with affection, writing, “I have so much love for both of them, and I miss them. Robert and Holly are my favorite GH couple, and Sasha and Brando hold a special place in my heart, too. These two men were so special.”
Gone Too Soon, Never Forgotten
The fan love ran deep into GH history as another lamented, “RIP to the both of them! …I have a lot of regret [about] never meeting Tristan! Fan of his since 1981, not long after he joined GH in 1980. Heartbroken over his passing! 😢RIP TR!” And bringing a tear to our eyes was the loving response, “They are together in heaven. Miss them.”
Another fan expressed their gratitude to Coastal Entertainment with, “Thanks for bringing them onto Zoom events so that we could get to know them. Both are the loveliest of gentlemen, and we were all blessed by their talents.” The fan love and sadness were palpable as another wrote, “This picture is breaking my heart 💔.”
And one fan summed up the collective response with, “Thank you for sharing this great photo of Tristan and Johnny, two men who will always be missed. 💔.”
