General Hospital viewers know how crazy talented Nicholas Alexander Chavez is, as his character Spencer Cassadine has quickly won their hearts with his incredible portrayal of the entitled princely heir to all things Cassadine. Now comes word that you’ll get to see him in a completely different role in an exciting new project.
Nicholas Alexander Chavez Takes On Jason
No, he won’t be taking on Jason Morgan — but rather that’s the name of the character he’ll be playing in the new film from Tubi which will premiere in April on Fox Entertainment’s ad-supported streaming service, reports Variety.
Eric Scott Woods is a producer on the project. Keen-eyed soap fans may recall him as Evan Frame on the now-defunct NBC soap Another World. He played the role from 1994-1995.
In the movie titled Crushed, Jason will be the object of a romantic high schooler’s affection, played by Love, Victor’s Bebe Wood. Her character, Kate, tries to get with Jason during a senior class trip but of course, things go downhill from there.
According to the article, Brenna D’Amico (Descendants: Wicked World), Valerie Azlynn (Sullivan & Son), Kylee Russell (Zombies: Addison’s Monster Mystery), Lisa Yamada (All of Us Are Dead), Meg Wright (Jeepers Creepers III) and Bailey Stender (Pop Music High) also star.
A messy love story certainly isn’t new territory for the General Hospital star. After all, Spencer is knee-deep in Port Charles drama since his girlfriend Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) has been revealed (to the audience, at least) as being in cahoots with psychopath Ryan Chamberlin (Jon Lindstrom) and just using him as a means to an end. This is of course good news for the woman who truly seems to have his heart — Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Port Charles, check out all the latest that’s been posted on GH spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history, click here.
