FBI agent John “Jagger” Cates has resurfaced on General Hospital, and he has a brand new look. Blond-haired, blue-eyed Adam Harrington is playing the character originally portrayed by dark, brooding former Calvin Klein model Antonio Sabato, Jr. from 1992 to 1994.

The New Actor Portraying Jagger

Albeit new to the daytime genre, Harrington has an array of primetime and film credits, including leads in the comedy series Show Me Yours (Showcase) and drama Whistler (CTV) and guest spots on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Smallville, Daytime Divas, and numerous others. He also appeared in the critically acclaimed film Passchendaele as well as the horror cult classic, Valentine, and comedy The Ugly Truth.

Want to learn more about the actor? Here are seven things to know about Adam J. Harrington.

1. The Canadian-born actor hails from Hamilton, Ontario. He grew up in the neighboring towns of Dundas and Burlington.

2. Prior to embarking on an acting career, Harrington earned a Master’s Degree in marine biology. In fact, he previously worked as a scientist and an aquarium curator, and he once had a job scuba diving in nuclear stations.

3. Not surprisingly, Harrington is still drawn to the ocean. He’s a huge surfing fan and usually kicks things off by riding his board on Memorial Day weekend.

4. Playing FBI men is old hat for Harrington. He previously tackled the role of Agent Jack Brenner on Bosch and Agent Ray Walker on Dexter.

5. Is it any surprise that the handsome actor once won a modeling competition? He came out on top of the 1989 University of Guelph College Royal Model Search.

6. Harrington is also known for his voice-over work in video games. Among them: He’s the voice of Roy Earle in L.A. Noire (2011), King Xola in Fearless Fantasy (2014), Tyson Latchford in Battlefield: Hardline (2015), and Sindri in God of War (2018) and its sequel God of War: Ragnarok (2022).

7. In addition to his video game work, Harrington is also a professional narrator. He’s voiced TV series and specials such as Discovery’s The Kursk, BBC’s Valley Of The Kings, Animal Planet’s The Most Extreme, and TLC’s memorable What Not To Wear.
