Another Character Is Coming Back to Port Charles
GH has been the show of returning characters over the past few months, and Ethan (Nathan Dean, aka Parsons) is the latest one to add to that list.
“We are so excited that Nathan Dean is returning to General Hospital as Ethan this April,” executive producer Frank Valentini revealed to TV Insider.
Valentini announcing when Ethan will be on-screen means Dean is back on set filming as Holly (Emma Samms) and Luke’s (the late Anthony Geary) son. The executive producer didn’t give away any details regarding what brings Ethan back in the fold, but he did share a vague tease.
“We have a great story planned — with, of course, a few twists along the way,” he told the outlet.
Dean made his debut as Ethan back in 2009 and left in 2012. The actor returned as Ethan for brief stints in 2013, 2015, and most recently in 2020.
In 2023, Holly learned that Victor (Thaao Penghlis) had imprisoned Ethan. Holly and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) worked together to rescue Ethan.
Since then, Ethan has supposedly been off-screen in Australia doing his thing. It’s been a while since Ethan was even mentioned on the show, so it will be interesting to see how and why the character lands back in Port Charles.
The news of Ethan’s return comes weeks after the ABC soap paid tribute to Geary in a special episode dedicated to Luke. Ethan was not in the episode, nor was he even mentioned, making the timing of the character’s comeback very interesting.
