Some fans who have been lucky enough to meet General Hospital star Nancy Lee Grahn, have been thrilled at the opportunity. They know how gracious and caring the actress, who has played Alexis Davis for 25 years, is for her overwhelmed fans who are simply overcome with excitement at the moment. She especially knows that herself now — since she’s just had a similar experience, thanks to social media, when sharing her adoration for singular sensation, Ariana DeBose.
Like most of America who was watching the 2022 Tony Awards Sunday night, Grahn was incredibly impressed by the hostess for the evening — Ariana DeBose, who took on the challenging role of Anita (after Rita Moreno!) for the remake of West Side Story and rightly won the Oscar for it. The GH star took to Twitter to reveal how she felt watching DeBose.
“If I ever needed 2b humbled as an actress (which working in Daytime for 36 yrs is nearly impossible) I’d simply watch 10 sec of [Ariana DeBose] & know that I’ve no talent at all & just got lucky. #TonyAwards,” she wrote, tagging the singer/dancer/actress in the Tweet. Her words did not go unnoticed by the powerhouse.
“You have no idea how much I adore you,” replied DeBose, “but I will humbly disagree with your assessment. As a HUGE FAN OF YOURS for you a very long time you ooze talent💖”
We can only imagine how Grahn felt at that moment when she saw the response but she was able to keep it together long enough o screenshot the reply and share it with a simple response: “I’ve now died.” We’re pretty sure a lot of her own fans, including Ariana DeBose, know exactly how she feels.
