Having a crush on a celebrity is pretty common. That goes for the stars themselves, too! Michael Easton, who plays Dr. Hamilton Finn on General Hospital, reveals that he has a bit of a “man crush” on a certain celebrity. Hint: he’s a recent Oscar winner.
“Ok so I can admit this because I’m walking out a the bar a little drunk and dreamy,” Michael Easton began a recent Instagram post, “but I saw this billboard across the street and I have to say I have a little man crush on Cillian Murphy and not just because he’s also Irish and he’s Tommy Shelby [from the film Peaky Blinders] and likes [the band] the Fontaines D.C. but because he also seems like a lovely human being and what’s better than that?”
Born in Cork, Ireland, Murphy began his acting career on stage playing the role of a volatile Cork teenager in a production of Enda Walsh’s Disco Pigs. He won this year’s Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance as J. Robert Oppenheimer in the biographical movie Oppenheimer. The film won the Oscar for Best Picture. Here’s a Soap Hub editorial on why Oppenheimer is a soap opera!
His performance in Oppenheimer also earned a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA (British Academy Film Awards), and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Murphy’s other credits include In the Heart of the Sea, The Dark Knight Rises, Red Eye, Batman Begins, and Sunburn.
Easton’s fans are thrilled that the press-shy performer is opening up about his life, his likes, and his world on social media. “Love and admiration for another human being is beautiful. Always,” wrote alluringmoonglowaria. “How nice of you to put this out there. Also, I learned somethings new about him and about your kind soul. So, thank you.”
