The soap world has been reeling lately with too many deaths of beloved actors. Days of Our Lives actors and fans alike have been recently mourning the death of Wayne Northrop. He was the original actor to play the heroic Roman Brady. Several soap opera stars paid tribute to their fallen colleague. However, none were hit as hard as his wife, General Hospital’s Lynn Herring. The beloved actress recently shared her own thoughts and love for Northrop.
He Remains in Her Dreams
On X, formerly Twitter, Herring shared a photo of Northrop as he held the reigns of a horse, captioning it, “Wayne has always been the Man of my Dreams and now he will always be the Man in my Dreams. No one navigates a loss alone & all of your love & kindness helps Hank, Grady & I take this journey Thank you especially our @GeneralHospital & @DaysPeacock family.”
Hank and Grady are the sons of the couple who got married in 1981. Many fans and soap stars sent their love and condolences with GH alum Ian Buchanan (Duke) simply responding with several heart emojis. Brooklyn Rae Silzer, who plays the young Emma Scorpio-Drake, shared the heartfelt, “Sending all my love to you ❤️🙏🏽.”
She Will Survive
DAYS star Thaao Penghlis (Tony) posted a lovely picture of some orange roses and wrote, “What a guy. God bless you & ur family Lynn.” Michele Val Jean, soap writer and current creator of the new daytime serial Beyond the Gates shared a heart next to a broken heart, signifying her devastation at Northrop’s passing. General Hospital alum Tonja Walker (Olivia Jerome) understood Herring’s pain because her husband Edward Davidson died in 2018 from pancreatic cancer.
She wrote to Herring, “Lynn I’m so sorry you have joined this club with me. It’s terrible and terrifying and you lose your mind a little. But there’s many of us who have survived and I am available to you for anything, anytime for you or your sweet children. Sending love and comfort. Tonja.” And Lydia Look, who plays mobstress Selina Wu, lovingly wrote, “Dear Lynn, My deepest condolences for your loss. Sending all my love. Please take good care of yourself, Hank and Grady.”
